About Alhambra Valley

barrelsAlhambra Valley’s Mediterranean climate is perfect for producing Italian-style oil from Leccino and Frantoio olives.

Among the oldest grape growing areas in California, the Alhambra Valley is becoming an important new olive growing region.

Tucked into an agricultural area among several Contra Costa County cities, the valley’s soils, abundant sunshine and rolling hills make this an ideal olive growing region.

He then established a dairy farm that supplied milk to the Golden State Creamery. Tom’s father’s parents, Thomas W. Powers and Ida Powers, began growing oranges in Florida in 1910.
